Aaliyah Dana Haughton came into fame in 1994, after she released her debut Album Age Ain't Nothing More Than an Number. It was Gold in the year she turned just 15 years old. R. Kelly heavily influenced the collaboration and brought her up to the top of the charts. In 1996, she released her second album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. The album contained the hit number one single If Your girl only knew. Aaliyah became a well-known R&B artist after her album's release. Aaliyah appeared alongside legendary Jet-Li, the famous martial artist in Romeo Must Die (2000) which was an action-packed romance film. Joel Silver spotted her in an award show. The film she was in was the Anne Rice-based vampire film Queen of the Damned, that came out in 2002. The Matrix Sequels saw her as Zee following her appearance as a character in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions that same year. She is an Indian-American of her first generation, who was born in Connecticut. Mann is an abbreviation of her husband's first name Mankad. But, she has both Aarti Mann and Aarti Majumdar for her professional name. Her acting career began with minor TV and film performances, but her fame was growing in the late 2000s. Apart from The Big Bang Theory her other most acclaimed works include Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) as well as Grey's Anatomy (2017). The actress has been featured in a variety of commercials including Volvo's international car maker. She lives with her family in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter and is continuing to develop her acting career.
