Annika Charlotta Sorenstam is a Swedish pro golfer. She is regarded as one of the most successful female golfers in history. It was her golfer who had the most victories at international level before retiring from the game at close of the 2008 season. The parents of Annika have been Tom Gunilla and Tom Gunilla. Tom has been an IBM executive, while Gunilla worked in a banking institution. Her sister is a professional golfer and coach at Annika Academy. They were both the first golfers to achieve one million on the LPGA. Mike McGee is her husband and they have two kids, Madelyn McGee & William Nicholas McGee. Annika and Mike married each other on the 10th January 2009. Annika is a talented golfer since childhood. In addition, she was a junior soccer player and was a national tennis champion. She was an excellent skier as well, which led their family to Sweden to pursue this professional sport. She took home her very first ALPG Tour Australia professional title in 1994. She was named LPGA rookie for this year, after she finished within the top three. Annika was the winner of the first LPGA Tour event in the year 1995, the US Women Open. She was the only non-American winner of the Vare trophy. Annika even ranked number 1 on Money's list. Annika decided to leave in the course of the season of 2008. In the evening, she throw the opening pitch in a baseball game.
