Winona Laura Horowitz is also known by the name Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter on her home town. Her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder's dad was born into the Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish.
